In the era of Twitter journalism, how can a reporter’s online presence & political commentary help or hurt their career & accountability? The New York Times, now, has strict social media rules in place for its on-staff writers: no expressing partisan opinions or editorializing on issues the outlet is covering. This session will address the evolving role that social media has played in the profession of journalism.
