How to Market & Archive Today’s Artist’s Catalog
This session will explore the new frontier of marketing a current artist’s catalog with the look to the future. The conversations during the session will focus on ways you can promote an artist’s recent catalog to an ever-increasing streaming world, develop creative marketing ideas around important milestones both in the past and future and the challenges of encouraging artists to look back at their careers and their brand when they’re more than likely only concerned with what’s next. We’ll also explore what’s worth saving and what’s not when looking for gold in that dormant hard drive under your desk. The goal, to think like a fan and to truly answer, when they’re making the documentary of your artist’s career, did you save everything you could have to tell the story? Using examples across all genres and artists, we’ll help guide you to archival gold.
