HHS has one of the largest repositories of health data and is now taking the lead in developing an enterprise wide data strategy focused on: data governance, data use agreements and open APIs to support data sharing, and an acquisition strategy that places ownership of data within the federal government, in order for it to be more effectively shared. The session will explore how HHS plans to overcome challenges to greater data integration across its agencies and state partners.
