In 2017, “O.J. Simpson: Made in America” won the Academy Award for Best Documentary, forever changing the landscape for how sports films are viewed.

For years, sports stories were glorified celebrations of heroes, now they have become character studies that often help define the cultural zeitgeist. This panel will analyze how OJ's success has not only raised the bar for sports documentarians, but also created unforeseen roadblocks for filmmakers.
