Trust in “The Media:” What Do News Consumers Want?
What people say they want from the news can be contradictory. They might say, for example, that they value “unbiased” news but also indicate that they trust Sean Hannity or Rachel Maddow above all else. Based on questionnaires and interviews, the Trusting News project takes a deep dive into the preferences and choices of news consumers and creates strategies for how journalists can demonstrate their credibility, earn trust and differentiate themselves from the rest of "the media."
