Children work. They work in fields, waste collection, and recycling. Child labor is impossible to track across informal economies in the developing world. In fact, you’re probably wearing something that a child has helped produce. The problem is simple. The solution is anything but. Children work to feed, clothe, and educate themselves and their families. Ending child labor outright can jeopardize life for these people. Where do we begin to solve it? Not by ignoring it. And not by “ending” it.
