Producing VR Audio (10AM and 1PM)
VR audio production requires the use of new post-production and mixing tools. This session introduces the basic of the hardware and software tools to create immersive audio for VR and walks the participants through the workflow letting everyone discover that there is no magic or trickery involved in 3D audio.
Producing Binaural 3D Audio (11AM and 3:30PM)
3D audio can create the most surprising and engaging experiences, and binaural audio is the most immediate and simplest 3D audio format for headphone content. Especially for those recording with their smartphones and eager to share lifelike experiences. This session showcases several microphone options to capture binaural audio, and covers simple guidelines on how to enhance 3D recordings with special effects and other artificial sounds with software panning tools.
Augmented Audio, the sound of AR (11:30AM, 2PM and 4PM)
To all AR/MR sound designers, developers and creatives: this session shares big ideas… and an SDK for pushing the boundaries of the audio experience and interaction in Augmented Reality. A front-end control the sonic reality around you is an important first-step, overlaying an “artificial” 3D audio world, and of course blending the two perfectly, is what we pursue. This session introduces some hardware and software tools to develop mobile interactive applications for AR, putting audio on the spotlight.
