Tall Paul/Mic Jordan
Tall Paul is an Anishinaabe and Oneida Hip-Hop artist enrolled on the Leech Lake reservation in Minnesota. Born and raised in Minneapolis, his music strongly reflects his inner-city upbringing. From personal expressions of self, to thought provoking commentary on issues affecting Indigenous and diverse communities as a whole, Tall Paul’s music evokes a wide variety of substance and soul.
Mic Jordan, a Hip-Hop Artist and an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Ojibwe Tribe in Belcourt, ND, where music heavily influenced his childhood.
As a musician, Mic Jordan indigenizes hip-hop, bending the genre to tell his story in an honest way that reflects the positive values of his traditional culture. Mic also serves as a Turnaround Artist for the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities, where he travels to communities sharing his life story on how he overcame adversity with the power of music.
