Originally from Chicago, bluesy Americana artist RJ Comer often quips: "I was the only kid in Chicago that never missed an episode of Hee Haw." He now lives in the Tennessee woods.
RJ has toured throughout the United States and Canada, including a official appearances at Canadian Music Week and the Key Largo Original Music Festival. He spent 5 weeks performing and recording in New Orleans and around southern Louisiana. He has upcoming official appearances at the Third Street Songwriters Festival (Baton Rouge, LA) and a return appearance at the Key Largo Original Music Festival. After a show in Albuquerque, representatives of the New Mexico Americana Music Society described RJ as "refreshingly manly."
RJ has released 2 EPs and a single. His single "New Orleans Undercover" debuted #2 on the iTunes New Blues Releases Chart. His latest release "Nightly Suicide" garnered critical acclaim and success on the Americana Music Association album chart. His forthcoming LP "One Last Kiss" (June 2018) features fiddler Daniel Foulks (Parker Milsap band) and Grammy-winning guitarist Randy Kohrs (Jim Lauderdale, Dierks Bentley).
