Korea-born vocalist Valerie Trebeljahr formed Lali Puna in 1998. The bands reduced but yet electronic-pop-style gained immediate attention. Collaborations with Dntel, Tim Simenon (Bomb the Bass), Two Lonesome Swordsmen or Yellow Magic Orchestra's Yukihiro Takahashi made Lali Puna a well-known region in different musical landscapes. From clubbing to indie and many things in between.
After 2011 Trebeljahr focused on her career as a journalist. The fifth album "Two Windows" was released in 2017 after Trebeljahr reformed the band. Lali Punas line-up is completed by longtime companions Christian Heiß and drummer Christoph Brandner.
