Rick Simpson is a veteran of the Dallas DJ scene dedicated to the old school craft of mixing tracks on vinyl. Simpson’s focus is on electronic music but not limited to only that , he can be spotted dropping everything from classic electro, house, disco and industrial. His near encyclopedic knowledge of classic dance floor tracks can be intimidating, but that knowledge is driven by a deep love of music. He is known for djing as well as producing under a different alias's to what genre he is working with at the moment such as Ricky Silk, DJ R9 and MKG Systems. He has been featured on record labels like Down Low Music, Obsolete Future, and Biosoft music. He shares a monthly Resident at the Midnight Rambler in Dallas, TX with Gavin Guthrie (TX Connect).
