half•alive formed in 2016 in Long Beach, CA.  The independent band started as the product of a 50-song challenge that Josh Taylor, the band's leader and principle song writer, had completed in early 2016.  Josh wrote 50 songs in hopes of improving his skill as a songwriter.  With the help of drummer, Brett Kramer and Grammy nominated producer James Krausse, a few of the songs came alive in the Mojave Desert, inside a helicopter hanger that had been redesigned as a recording studio, where the band recorded its debut EP, 3. After the songs were released, half•alive started working on it’s live show, adding bass player J Tyler to the band. The fan base grew substantially online within the first three months of its release.  The debut EP, 3 is now available for free on streaming platforms.
