SassyBlack (Catherine Harris-White) is a vocalist & producer based in Seattle, WA. This Goddess of “electronic psychedelic soul” &“hologram funk” explores sound through deep compositions. You may know her from her work with Shabazz Palaces or as part of THEESatisfaction. With roots in classical & jazz, her voice is comparable to Ella Fitzgerald & India Arie while her production value is reminiscent of Herbie Hancock. Her love of music stems from long music history quizzing from her father and dance parties with her family.

Sassy studied under Julian Priester, Jovino Santos Neto, Dawn Clement & more at Cornish College of the Arts. Since then, Black has traveled the world having performed in Berlin, Barcelona, Milan, London & beyond. She has gained praise from The Fader, NYLON, Pitchfork, Saint Heron, SPIN & many others. She tours the US & European annually and is currently releasing new music every month in 2018.
