Remna Schwarz
It is certain that Remna's Hip Hop experience, his backing vocal adventures in a Reggae band and his listening to music from his native land, Bissau Guinea, and the world, have prepared him for his songwriting. To the likes of Keziah Jones or Ben Harper we see the connection between the man and the guitar as being a predominant factor for the writing, so it is no wonder that singers like ENEIDA MARTA, KARYNA GOMES, FATU DIAKITE, SARA TAVARES and many more have asked this unconventional musician to compose for them. When he is not writing or performing, his producing skills are called upon to support projects like DEEDO, the first PANAFRICAN Music Streaming Digital Platform of which he is a proud ambassador today or is invited to feature on songs written by other great musicians such as LUIZ CARACOL.
"I envision songs like paintings and I brush political concerns, social issues, love, betrayal or fun with any color I see fit, even if convention says it is wrong to do so... After all, I am an artist.”
