"An artist whose span results in some extremely special music" - Clash Magazine
“Mystifying and atmospheric" - Earmilk

There's a moment on Holy Boy's debut EP during medieval sea shanty 'Deep Sky' - after the harpsichords, unresolved baritone guitar and broken jazz drum patterns have played out - where a wall of psychedelic distortion creeps up and envelopes the listener, obliterating everything that's come before. In a sense, this is how Holy Boy writes songs. She waits for the energy to build to extreme proportion, then channels it. Originally from Norway, LA based alternative singer songwriter Helene Alexandra Jæger’s debut is a collection of tragic outlier love songs taking sonic cues from artists like The Velvet Underground and Talk Talk's "Spirit Of Eden", Holy Boy's arrangements are sparse yet wholly effcting - Jæger's old soul contralto pushed through haunting vocal effects float over primal drums and vintage organs. Having garnered support from BBC1 Radio, Clash Music, The 405 and more for her debut, Holy Boy's first full length album is due 2018.
