Matthew Bate

Matt is a multi-award winning filmmaker working across documentary, drama and virtual reality. Matt’s debut feature Shut Up Little Man! An Audio Misadventure, premiered In Competition at Sundance 2011, and was selected in the 40th New Directors/New Films at the MoMA and Lincoln Center New York before releasing theatrically across the US. His feature film Sam Klemke’s Time Machine premiered at Sundance New Frontiers, winning the Artistic Vision Award at DocAviv and the Australian Writers Guild Award for Best Screenplay. As co-director, his VR film Summation of Force was selected for Sundance’s New Frontiers 2018.
