BOYTOY is a rock n’ roll band. They play sunny 60s grooves filled with contagious rhythms and a smothering of heavy guitar riffs akin to the sound of 1970s New York. Their new lineup brings drummer Chase Noelle (formerly Thelma and The Sleaze) and Lena Simon (La Luz) together with founding members Saara Untracht-Oakner and Glenn Van Dyke. After a year of national and international tours (Europe, Canada, and Puerto Rico), BOYTOY recorded their sophomore LP with producer Kyle Mullarky (Allah-lahs, Growlers) on Topanga Canyon in March 2017, to craft a "sound like basement brawls and chilled whiskey and crisp wave grazing a smooth beach" (What Youth #18).
