James Pennebaker
Jamie Pennebaker is an internationally recognized social psychologist who's endlessly curious about human nature. Currently, as Executive Director of Project 2021, Jamie his leading the charge to establish the infrastructure for innovation across the University of Texas at Austin campus through course design, technology integration and rigorous evaluation. He was chair of the UT Department of Psychology for 9 years, a member of the Academy of Distinguished Teachers, and a recipient of The American Psychological Association’s Distinguished Scientific Award for the Applications of Psychology. He is also the creator of Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count (LIWC), a computerized text analysis program that is now widely used in academic, government, and corporate settings.
