Yin Zhang

Philm, a video editing app that enables users to convert video clips into animated art works in real time. Using self developed algorism and picture learning technology, Philm is able to provide endless popular or customized filters. Yin Zhang is the co-founder and CTO of Philm. As the IEEE fellow, Yin received his doctor degree from Cornell University. Yin also owns several patents of streaming technology during his teaching career. After decided to join Philm, Yin gave up the opportunity of achieving the honor of a tenured professor of Computer Science major at UT Austin and came back to China with Wenyi Jiang, the CEO and co-founder of Philm. Not only applied on consumer end, Philm cooperated with the largest e-commerce company Alibaba in China with its highly customized real time filter to help Taobao e-shops create their own short videos with information and tags as their choices. Philm discovered a new usage scenario for short video platform.
