Cynthia Cabrera
Cynthia Cabrera is a seasoned expert in the vapor market and has been a key influencer in the industry since 2011. As founder of The Cating Group, Cynthia helps organizations successfully navigate business and regulatory environments, including matters impacting compliance, manufacturing operations, restructuring, government affairs and business development, as well as new product rollouts and strategic partnerships. Cynthia previously served as executive director of the Smoke-Free Alternatives Trade Association (SFATA), where she was responsible for growing the organization into the largest vapor trade group in the world with more than 1,400 business members. Her initial introduction to the vapor industry was as vice president of compliance and logistics for VMR Products, a leading e-cigarette and vapor company. She is a frequent speaker about vapor trends, including product evolvement, distribution channels, and regulatory and legislative issues. Cynthia has presented for the Tobacco Merchants Association (TMA), the Global Tobacco Nicotine Forum (GTNF), the Global Forum on Nicotine (GFN), the Food & Drug Law Institute (FDLI), the Responsible Retailers Forum (RRF), ECIG USA, the Morven Dialogues, plus a wide variety of vapor shows and conferences. Cynthia has an extensive background in logistics and supply chain management and has consulted for Global Solutions and Services. She has a Green Belt in Lean Management (a systematic method for the elimination of waste within a manufacturing system) and has consulted on process improvement and supply chain management issues throughout a variety of industries. Previous clients include Stryker Medical, Kellwood Companies, Liz Claiborne, Atlas Metals, Mark Two Manufacturing, Timbar Packaging and Supply, and Bertram Yacht (Ferretti).
