Nanshu Lu
Dr. Nanshu Lu received her Bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in 2005 and her Ph.D. degree from Harvard University in 2009. She then became a Beckman Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois. She joined Engineering Mechanics at UT Austin in 2011 and received tenure in 2016. She has published more than 50 journal articles with more than 4600 citations in the field of flexible, stretchable, and bio-electronics. Her representative work includes hair-thin, skin-soft electronic tattoos for mobile sensing and therapy. She has been named world's 35 innovators under 35 by MIT Technology Review (TR 35) and is the recipient of the NSF CAREER Award, Air Force and Naval Research Young Investigator Awards, and 3M Non-Tenured Faculty Award.
