To start 2013 Rhodes was honored by being named in the "Top 5 Producers you need to know" article released by the acclaimed AllHIpHop.com. The following year he was a part of the “Top 15 producers that got our attention in 2014” write up by AllHipHop.com. On September 9th, J.Rhodes was blessed to be a part of his first #1 album on Billboard! Lecrae’s Anomaly topped the charts on which he co-produced “Welcome to America”. The song took a heartfelt introspective look at America from 3 different points of view. Anomaly has since went Gold and in 2016 J.Rhodes was awarded his first Gold Plaque. Many more are sure to come!
To start 2016 J.Rhodes was a part of a #1 Hip-Hop/R&B album on the Billboard Charts. Royce Da 5'9's Layers Album dethroned Rhianna for the top spot. J.Rhodes co produced the lead track "Tabernacle". A deep and introspective tale of the most instrumental day of Royce's life. The day he met Eminem, the day his first child was born, and the day his beloved granny passed... in the same hospital. "It was an extreme honor to have someone put their life story over the backdrop of my music" said Rhodes.
Bigger than music though, J.Rhodes is the face of the "These Beats Ain't Free Movement". What started as a slogan, turned into a book, which morphed into a clothing line and is now an up and coming series that will be on a major network very soon.
