Lacey Erb
Lacey Erb is a projection designer. She is intrigued by how light and shadow shape our environment and how projections and movement tracking can be used to manipulating visual perceptions of our world.
Erb’s design work encompasses projection and lighting design for theatre, dance, and opera, as well as event, space and installation design.
Her interactive dance installation piece 'Reflective Impulse' will be showcased as part of UTatATX's session Designing an Arts College of the Future. And her installation piece 'Forces in Contrast' with collaborator Kate Ducey will be a part of the Cohen New Works Festival in Austin in April.
She was recently chosen as a Finalist for the World Stage Design 2017 Emerging Designers Exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan, and is recipient of the Certificate of Excellence in Media Design from the United State Institute of Theatre Technology (USITT) Southwest Region 2016.
Originally from Colorado, she moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas at Austin. She will complete her MFA in Integrated Media for Live Performance this spring after which she will begin working in New York.
