Jesse Draper is creator and host of 2015 Emmy nominated television series, “The Valley Girl Show” as well as GP of Halogen Ventures. For ‘Valley Girl’, she has produced and distributed over 300 interviews with some of the greatest minds in business, entertainment and technology including; Ted Turner, Mark Cuban, Sheryl Sandberg, Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, Jessica Alba, MC Hammer and Eric Schmidt. USA Today called the show “Must see startup TV”. The show has an initiative to interview 50% women in business. Previously a Nickelodeon star, Draper has used her comedic and acting talents to bring an approachable feel to the business world. Through The Valley Girl Show, she has helped pioneer the way in the digital media world. Draper is also an investor through her venture capital fund, Halogen Ventures where she does early stage seed investing in female founded consumer technology startups; some of her portfolio companies include Laurel& Wolf, Move Loot, Carbon38, BlockCypher, Beautycon & Sugarfina. Listed by Marie Claire magazine as one of the ’50 Most Connected Women in America’, Jesse founded a women-­‐in-­‐business organization in association with ‘The Valley Girl Show’ which holds exclusive quarterly events across the country for networking and support of women in business. She is a contributor to Marie Claire, SV Magazine, Mashable, Forbes.com, Huffington Post and Glam and is regularly asked to appear as a tech expert on CNBC, HLN and has also appeared on such talk shows as ‘The Katie Couric Show’ and Fox’s ‘Good Day LA’. She was also an entrepreneur mentor on Freeform/ABC Family’s Startup U. Jesse is a new mom, splits time between Silicon Valley and Santa Monica and is a graduate of UCLA. She proudly sits on the board of the Bizworld Foundation, is on the Chairman’s board of SurfAir, and advises such media publications as LA Business Journal and Tiger Beat magazine. Jesse also supports the Parkinson’s Institute and is very involved with growing UCLA’s female entrepreneurship community.
