Elana directs marketing and communications for OpenIDEO, leading strategic communications and outreach efforts to share OpenIDEO – stories, impact, and inspiration – with the world. She works to creatively engage diverse groups in impactful collaboration on OpenIDEO.com, an open innovation platform that enables people worldwide to learn and apply design thinking to tackling the world's biggest social and environmental issues. Elana joined IDEO by way of Teach for America, The Price Center for Entrepreneurship, and creative agency experiences. She founded a boutique marketing and creative consultancy for social good in 2013, and has worked with nonprofits for nearly two decades, most recently serving on the board of Transition United States.
