Ryan Spong

Ryan is a seasoned financial executive, food entrepreneur, and recipient of the 2015 Business In Vancouver “40 Under 40” award. He began his professional career in the financial services industry, in Toronto, London, and New York.

Upon returning to Vancouver in 2005, Ryan founded Mainstreet Advisors, a boutique financing company, which has raised several million dollars for micro-cap and small-cap companies, some of which he has served as CEO & CFO.
In 2011, he purchased Tacofino Cantina, surf-inspired, Asian-Mexican fusion restaurant, and has grown the revenue twenty times in just 3 years. In September 2012, he co-founded and joined as CEO of Foodee, a corporate restaurant food delivery service where he has grown revenue threefold and spearheaded Foodee's recent wave of U.S expansion.
Professional portfolio aside, Ryan spends time giving back to the food community. He spends his free time advocating for local business on the boards of LOCO BC and Knives & Forks Investment Co-op.
