Andres Martinez Ojeda
Andrés Martínez Ojeda is a music composer and producer based in Bogotá, Colombia. He holds an M.A. in Music Composition and Filmscoring from New York University as a Fulbright scholar. He´s written music for film, t.v., theater, chamber music, and he writes and produces music for colombian act Monareta together with Camilo Sanabria. Nacional Records has licensed Monareta's music to T.V. shows such as Chuck, Ugly Betty, Longmire, and in films such as Pride and Glory from Warner Brothers. Films such as SIKUMI (directed by Andrew Okpeaha MacLean and Sundance's Jury Prize awarded) and DOS MUJERES Y UNA VACA (directed by Efraín Bahamon) have been scored by Martínez.
Monareta was one of the first indie Latin Alternative acts to sign e-Label agreements for digital distribution back in the 2005. Their first international gigs were booked through Myspace.They've been updating their music production gear for almost 17 years.
Monareta has published two albums. "Picotero" 2008, and "Fried Speakers" 2010. They're working on their 2017 upcoming album "Baile Continental", produced by IMS's Camilo Lara. Monareta has toured worldwide and has performed in festivals such as Generiq in France, Antilliaansee Feesten in Hoogstraten, Vive Latino (Carpa Intolerante) in Mexico, Rock Al Parque in Colombia, Carnaval de Barranquilla, LAMC, SXSW 2009, Club Lambi in Canada, and Sodra Teatern in Sweden.
