Erik Moore
Erik Moore is the founder & managing director of Base Ventures (an early-stage tech investment fund). In addition to Erik's successful investment banking career at Merrill Lynch he was an early seed investor in Zappos (sold to Amazon). Erik has been investing for 20 years and has invested in close to 100 companies personally and through his funds. Some investments include Cognea (acquired by IBM), CrowdAlbum (acquired by Spotify), Modest (purchased by Paypal) and Agencourt (acquired by Beckman Coulter). Current fund investments include Olly (sold in Target, CVS, and GNC nationwide), Luma (series 'A' lead by Accel Partners, GV and Amazon), Mayvenn, Plan Grid and Style Seat. Erik is a co-investor along with several Silicon Valley titans. He serves on the board of advisors of the Museum of the African Diaspora (MOAD) in San Francisco and Russell Simmons's "Rush Arts Philanthropy Foundation".
