Alexis Isabel Moncada is an 18 year old Mexican American woman who created a social media profile in order to reach out to young people about human rights, feminism, and politics. Called "Feminist Culture," the page reaches out to young people across the world and gives them a platform to speak on. She also created a widespread campaign entitled "Give Elsa a Girlfriend" which became a prominent conversation in pop culture. Her grandparents immigrated here from Chihuahua, Mexico and Moncada is the first person in her entire family to be attending University at Florida State. Her main goal is to become a journalist and politician in the future, fighting for the rights of all Latino's, people of color, and women. As of now she has been published on Nylon Magazine, MTV News, and International Business Times with features in front page articles in New York Times and Washington Post.
