Beverage Dir & Partner
McGuire Moorman Hospitality Group

June Rodil MS is the Beverage Director of McGuire Moorman Hospitality, overseeing the wine, beer and spirits programs at seven of Austin’s most popular restaurants: June’s All Day, Jeffrey’s, Josephine House, Clark’s, Elizabeth Street Café, Perla’s and Lamberts Barbecue.

Born in the Phillipines and raised in Dallas, Texas, June is a Master Sommelier — only the seventh in Texas and the 23d woman in the United States — after passing The Court of Master Sommelier’s rigorous test in 2015.

June first came to Austin in 1998 to attend University of Texas and originally aimed for a career in law before turning her sights on food and drink. Her first restaurant gig was at Austin’s Driskill Grill, where she started as a server and quickly rose to sommelier after realizing her passion for wine. She then honed her craft at some of Austin’s most popular restaurants, including Uchi, Uchiko and qui before joining the McGuire Moorman Hospitality team in May of 2014.

As beverage director of McGuire Moorman Hospitality, June manages the diverse wine, beer and spirits programs at the group’s seven restaurants: everything from sourcing new Burgundies to pair with Jeffrey’s expertly-grilled steaks to selecting rosés and sparkling wines meant to be enjoyed on Perla’s shady outdoor patio.

In July 2016, June and McGuire Moorman Hospitality opened June’s, an all-day bar and restaurant on buzzy South Congress Avenue. June uses her namesake restaurant as a playground for serving her favorite hard-to-find wines with an emphasis on Champagne and sparkling wines from around the world.
