Mike Testa has been the COO of Visit Sacramento since 2013.
In 2014 Testa dreamed up one of Sacramento’s signature events, the Tower Bridge Dinner. The event venue, a drawbridge, is a California highway that connects two cities. Each September, 800 diners enjoy a sit-down meal cooked by the region’s top chefs atop the bridge. Collaborating with a small group of chefs, the team created the region’s most popular culinary event, selling it out in less than 15 seconds in its second year.
In tandem with the event, Visit Sacramento created the Farm-to-Fork Festival, attracting more than 60,000 attendees in its fourth year and trending #1 on Instagram nationally.
Currently, Testa oversees multiple departments including the America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital identity initiative, convention sales, community relations, public relations, sponsorship sales, and the Sacramento Film Commission.
A freelance writer, Testa has been published in Ladies’ Home Journal, Better Homes & Gardens, the Sacramento News & Review, the San Diego Union Tribune, and numerous trade publications.
