Maggie Jo Buchanan
Maggie Jo Buchanan is the Southern Director of Young Invincibles, a national non-profit working to advance the economic security of young adults aged 18–34. In this role she oversees all advocacy, research, and organizing work being done by the organization throughout the region. Previously, she was an Associate Director at the Center for American Progress, served as a senior legislative aide in the U.S. House of Representatives, and has held numerous other policy and political positions. She has been quoted or had her work featured in publications that include the Washington Post, Politico, the Guardian, Vox, and Houston Public Radio. A University of Texas School of Law graduate, she lives in Austin with her husband, dog, and cat while enjoying her frequent travels throughout the state.
