Michael Bellavia
Michael Bellavia is an Emmy-winning executive producer and digital marketing executive and CEO of HelpGood, a digital agency focused on cause marketing. HelpGood helps nonprofits, NGOs, government agencies and corporate social responsibility teams develop and execute their content marketing and communication strategies. Their clients include the Ad Council, The Partnership for Drug Free Kids, Animal League, United Way, Keep America Beautiful, Teach.org, Love Has No Labels, I Am A Witness, Perkins School for the Blind, Save the Children, Whole Foods and AT&T and their work has won Webbys, Shortys and other awards. Since 2010, Michael has led the social media efforts for Smokey Bear, the wildfire prevention icon, for which he was awarded the USDA Forest Service's highest honor - a Gold Smokey Bear Award.
In addition to his social good efforts, Michael is an owner of Animax Entertainment, Night Light Interactive Games and Tiny Sweaters, an independent entertainment production company working with TBS Network.
Michael's the former Chair of the New Media Council of the Producers Guild of America and has served on committees with the Television Academy. Michael has spoken at SXSW every year for the past five years and has also spoken at NATPE, Digital Hollywood, CES, KidScreen and CTIA. He has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Engineering from The University of Michigan.
Oh, and he's a dad and has been a winner on 6 out of 7 game shows.
