Joe Deshotel

Joe Deshotel is a partner with the consulting firm Mobilitaas. Mobilitaas provides Mobility-as-a-Service solutions for autonomous vehicle / AI firms, OEMs and fleet owners who want digital, branded user experiences for their unique transit business models."

Born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, Joe received his Bachelor's degree from Lamar University and has spent the last decade working in public relations. He's served in a director role for various projects including campaigns, nonprofits, and transportation technology startups.

He plays guitar and moved to Austin in 2010 drawn by live music, politics and its entrepreneurial atmosphere. He also currently serves as Chair of the City of Austin's Community Development Commission which promotes affordable housing policies.
