Charlie Strickland is responsible for the overall financial management of HOLT Companies, including oversight of the controller, treasury, tax, internal controls, and planning and budgeting functions.

Charlie joined HOLT in 1991 as a financial analyst and led the company’s historic expansion through solid organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Since then, the company has achieved exceptional sales growth, increasing from $115 million to $1.5 billion in annual revenues.

He helped lead HOLT’s industry-redefining acquisition of Darr Equipment Company, which created the largest Cat dealer in the U.S. and managed M&A activities for the sale of HOLT operations in Ohio. Charlie managed Peter M. Holt’s initial investment in the San Antonio Spurs in 1996, and remains involved in managing Holt family investments. Charlie earned a BS in Economics from Howard Payne University and an MBA from Trinity University.

He served on the Board of Directors of the Palmer Drug Abuse Program; the Trinity University Business School Advisory Council; and the Finance Committee for the San Antonio Spurs and Spurs Sports and Entertainment. Currently he is a board member of the Cooperative Association of Tractor Dealers (CATD), which issues commercial paper on behalf of Caterpillar dealers in the U.S.

In 2013, Charlie was honored with a “Best CFO” award from the San Antonio Business Journal.
