Ato Mensah
Ato received his first computer at the age of 4. At 14 years of age, he taught himself html and wrote his first website. He then received a Bachelor of Commerce in IT Management from Ryerson University. After graduation, he became a software developer for a financial firm where he built large web portals and wrote e-commerce websites for small business on the side. After receiving an MBA in 2011 from Hult International Business School, he moved into enterprise software consulting for MicroStrategy Inc., where he customized analytics platform for Fortune 100 companies. He eventually ventured into independent consulting, taking on contracts with clients such as Lowe’s Innovation and Time Warner Cable. Ato is now the cofounder of Entrecoder and Bitstrapped. Ato speaks and writes often about the value of coding to address complex and intractable global problems. He shares his experiences in startups, and independent consulting.
