Malika Quemerais
As the Head of Music Partnerships for Facebook Inc., Malika Quemerais leads the company’s strategic initiatives with artists and their teams, as well as major music festivals and award shows. Motivated by Facebook’s unique ability to bring people together, she connects the music community with the ideal, extraordinary mix of visual storytelling and social impact avenues that lie within the holistic power of their platforms to build audiences and brands—from Instagram to Livestreams to Oculus.
With her passion for amplifying what artists believe in and turning moments into movements, Malika also oversees public figures' adoption of Facebook’s charitable giving tools and the development of purpose-driven partnerships. She and her sharp team have facilitated the human response around causes like March for Our Lives and Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester benefit concert.
A veteran of helping artists use their position to tackle difficult issues like sex trafficking and mental illness, Malika previously worked at the infancy of matching artists with MTV's social good campaigns. She also directly managed appearances across multiple MTV channels for artists including Justin Timberlake and Rihanna. Concurrently, Malika earned a Master’s degree in Non-Profit Management which included a project for an organization in Uganda that’s restoring confidence in homeless children through teaching the arts.
Malika is on the Billboard Power 100 and was awarded the Viacom Community Grant.
