Andrew Peterson

Andrew Peterson is the Executive Director of Independent Filmmaker Project Minnesota. He also serves as Director of Programming for the Provincetown International Film Festival, a position he's held since 2006, and is a Visiting Assistant Professor for Media & Cultural Studies at Macalester College. From 2008-2012 Andrew served as Vice President of Production for Werc Werk Works, an independent film production and finance company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he co-produced the feature films Howl (dir. Rob Epstein & Jeffrey Friedman), Life During Wartime (dir. Todd Solondz), Thin Ice (dir. Jill Sprecher), and Darling Companion (dir. Lawrence Kasdan). His other producing credits include World and Time Enough, Older Than America (2008 SXSW) and the segment "This Car Up" for Boys Life 4: Four Play. Andrew regularly consults independent films. Recent consultations include Blood Stripe (2016 LAFF Fiction Winner), The Legend of Swee' Pea (2015 DOC NYC) and the upcoming features Voice from the Stone (dir. Eric Howell) and Smitten! (dir. Barry Morrow). Andrew holds an MFA from New York University Graduate Film School and has made several acclaimed short films, which have screened at numerous film festivals, museums and on US and British television.
