Peter Fried
Peter Fried, a Miami native, grew up in and around everything that was the antithesis of Hollywood. The son of a Lawyer and a Psychologist, it only seemed fitting that a career in escapism became the only option. Peter interned at Universal Pictures every summer while attending Florida State University and upon graduation became full time at Universal. During the nearly 4 years there, Peter got to work closely with filmmakers and producers ranging from Andy and Barbara Muschietti on MAMA to Tim Story and Will Packer on RIDE ALONG. It was during the production of RIDE ALONG that Peter struck a friendship with producer Will Packer and upon completion of the film, went on to become an executive at Will Packer Productions. During his two years there, he oversaw the development of ALMOST CHRISTMAS, written and directed by David E. Talbert and GIRLS TRIP written by Tracy Oliver & Kenya Barris and directed by Malcolm D. Lee as well as spearheading STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON for the company. After two years at Will Packer Productions, Peter transitioned to become Vice President of development and production for Ghost Corps/The Montecito Picture Company where he is helping build out the Ghostbusters universe for Sony as well as trying to shine a light on the next wave of comedic voices for The Montecito Picture Company.
