Andrew Garrison works in both documentary and fiction. His work has been in festivals from SXSW and Sundance to Rotterdam and Locarno, broadcast on PBS, and earned Guggenheim, Rockefeller, and AFI fellowships. His most recent film, TRASH DANCE, premiered at SXSW 2012 and went on to win Audience Awards for Best Documentary Feature at both AFI/Silverdocs and the Full Frame Festival, among others.

Garrison is also a part of the member-owned filmmaking distribution co-op, New Day Films.

Garrison is a full professor teaching community-based documentary and is the Audio Area Head of the Department of Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas. He is a member of Cinema Audio Society as a production mixer.

He is currently working on a documentary feature project.
