Holly Claire Werstein
Family Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner + Founder & CEO of Journal To Save Your Life
Mental health is a Human Right.
"Forming a treatment alliance with those who have psychiatric illness(es) characterize my most rewarding vocational moments; the more demanding a case, the more present, capable, and compassionate I become. This trait, expressed in the hospital, and my advocacy, business, and writing ventures, compel me to be a psychiatric nurse practitioner provider for inpatient populations. I have seven years of experience in Seton Shoal Creek psychiatric hospital with acute pediatric patients, severely mentally ill adults, and substance abuse treatment and am now a PNP at Cedar Springs.

It is the life, mission, duty, and purpose of Journal To Save Your Life (J2SYL) to help address our world's dearth of mental health resources. Through education, research, and a free mental health program, we aim to alleviate the devastating intra and interpersonal effects experienced as a result of anxiety and depression. In terms of dissemination of our intervention program, an online & new 2016 APP approach is necessary to make the biggest impact for those who need us most. Doing so allows J2SYL to be infinitely scalable – a high priority for a nonprofit organization seeking to make an essential impact in lives around the world. J2SYL has come to fruition via astute social media, a cutting edge web design, and the 26 generous professionals who all volunteer their time to make J2SYL happen.
