Andrew Vontz is the Communications Lead for Strava, the social network for athletes. He launched and serves as editor in chief of the Strava Stories digital magazine and helped to create Global Bike to Work Day.
After completing an MFA in creative writing at CalArts, Vontz began his career as a journalist. He was an editor of Mountain Biking magazine then worked as a freelance journalist for more than a decade. His writing has appeared in Rolling Stone, Outside, Bicycling, Salon, Slate, Men’s Journal, Vice, Playboy, FoxSports.com and the Los Angeles Times, among many other publications. He contributed to The New York Times bestseller Hollywood Interrupted. His writing focuses on people, places and things at the limits of human experience.
