Brittany Dejean
My dad was paralyzed in a car accident when I was 12, and I later realized that not everyone in our situation or with some other disability would be able to adapt and thrive like we did. A 2008 Harvard University graduate, I volunteered with disability communities in Asia and Africa, and gained a sense of the common struggles across geographic areas. I am dedicated to building bridges between people with and without disabilities for a more inclusive, equitable society.
I also launched AbleThrive.com to curate resources for living well with a disability from people, organizations, companies and hospitals around the world to make it easier for people to find life-changing support and information. I am a 2014 Echoing Green Global Fellow.
I love passion-driven people and all things social impact. I also love traveling and connecting with new people.
