Ms. Lewis founded Switch Embassy, a fashion technology lab, based in San Francisco with the focus of bringing elegance and style to technology through instantly customizable and lovable products. Where she motivates and inspires new aesthetics in wearable designs by integrating light, sound, vibration, and interactivity into clothing, textiles, and interiors.
In 2016, she was a contestant on America's Greatest Makers, in 2014 created tshirtOS 2.0, and recently, was awarded the Techtextil Innovation Award for outstanding progress and implementation in smart fabrics. In 2010, she was voted one of Fast Company’s most Influential Women in Technology for her unique and approachable style and in 2011 spoke at TED on the subject and her approach.
Before Switch Embassy, Ms. Lewis co-founded Made In Space, an off world 3D printing manufacturing company. She is also formally Adjunct Faculty at Parsons School of Design and she authored Switch Craft, Published by Random House.
