Joshua Pevnick
Dr. Pevnick studies the use of health information technology to improve healthcare quality and efficiency. Dr. Pevnick has collaborated with researchers at UCLA and the RAND Corporation to investigate electronic prescribing, health information exchange and clinical decision support. His current research focuses on optimizing health information technology to improve medication management, with special attention to older adults at care transitions. Dr. Pevnick completed a residency in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai and a fellowship in health services research at the West Los Angeles Veterans Hospital. Dr. Pevnick was awarded the HIMSS Foundation Masters Scholarship and received a masters degree in health services from UCLA. He is board certified in medical informatics and played an operational role in the rollout of Cedars-Sinai's inpatient electronic health record.
