Isaac Madan
Isaac Madan focuses on early-stage investments in Venrock’s Palo Alto office. Prior to joining Venrock, Isaac built out HR & recruiting analytics for tech companies like Lyft, Thumbtack, Addepar, and many others. His work spanned data wrangling, machine learning, and visualization. Earlier in 2015, in collaboration with 25+ startups and venture firms, Isaac co-authored The 1099 Workforce Economy Report that shed light on the on-demand/freelancer workforce and was featured in The Wall Street Journal and many other publications.
Isaac previously spent time at Pejman Mar Ventures, Correlation Ventures, and Foundation Capital. Prior, he worked on intelligent system automation and analytics at NASA and the US Green Building Council. He earned an MS in Biomedical Informatics and a BS in Computer Science from Stanford University, where he was an internationally competitive fencer and a Schneider Fellow. In college, Isaac conducted research across many sectors — spanning cryptocurrencies, healthcare, and energy efficiency — and ran an online network for high school students, college students, and alumni to share college & career advice.
