Daniel Swislow
Dan Swislow serves as partnerships manager and Silicon Valley representative at the National Democratic Institute (NDI), a non-profit organization working in more than 60 countries to strengthen democratic institutions and practices. Dan leads the Institute's presence in Silicon Valley, facilitating strategic collaborations related to technology and democracy and supporting global programs on open government and civic innovation. His work has supported NDI's partnership with Code for All, the co-founding of the Blockchain Trust Accelerator with Bitfury Group and New America, the design of NDI's upcoming Civic Tech Leadership Program and projects on "fake news" and advocacy for an open internet. He previously helped found OpeningParliament.org, a community of more than 180 civic organizations focused on making legislatures in over 80 countries more open and responsive to citizens, and launched the Open Government Partnership's legislative working group. He serves on the advisory boards of the Democracy Earth Foundation, a member of Y Combinator, and Bolt Energy Marketplace.
