Ainee Athar
Ainee Athar is the Texas Coalitions Director at FWD.us, an organization started by key tech industry leaders like Mark Zuckerberg, Max Levchin, and Reid Hoffman to mobilize the tech and business communities around policies that keep the American Dream achievable in the 21st century. FWD.us a nationally leading organization in the push for comprehensive immigration reform and played a major advocacy role to support the President’s 2014 Executive Actions on immigration. At FWD.us, Ainee manages strategic alliances among business trade associations, interest groups, nonprofits, and community organizations affected by the broken immigration system. She has been active in the immigrant justice movement since 2010, playing a role in the passage of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy in 2012 and supporting campaigns to preserve tuition equity for immigrant students. An alumni of UT-Austin, Ainee enjoys playing with her cat, fashion & design, and lifting weights.
