Rachel Genn

Primarily a writer, (http://www.rcwlitagency.com/authors/genn-rachel/)I was recently Leverhulme Artist-in-Residence at the University of Sheffield, Department of Psychology, creating a gallery-based installation; a quasi-institution called 'THE NATIONAL FACILITY FOR THE REGULATION OF REGRET (NFRR).' The NFRR is home to fictional characters with regret-related disturbances and their stories are narrated by their personal possessions (see (see: http://www.creativeboom.co.uk/art/jarvis-cocker-becomes-a-life-size-dress-up-doll-to-explore-everything-we-regret-/). The installation launched in 2015. With the support of Sheffield and Hallam Universities; BAFTA-winning creative digital agency, Rocket Science Solutions; XOlabs; Doc/Fest and Tyke Films, I am developing an interactive documentary around the NFRR. The pitch was shortlisted for BBC The Space International open Call and DocFest Crossover Market 2015, where it made the final five shortlist of the Arte France Development awards.
