Johan Gijsen is founder and director of Le Guess Who? Le Guess Who? focuses on acts who have an urge to seek and to push the boundaries of genres. It’s not just the headliners from England and America which cause a stir, but also avant-garde innovators from Asia, the protest singers of the Arab world, the front-runners in the western underground and free jazz spirits. While founding Le Guess Who?, he was head of program Tivoli and senior booker of TivoliVredenburg - an architectonically unique music venue with five concert halls that can be used next to each other at the same time.
